Beware the Creeper!

Iain's life as a psychotic crimefighter

The joys of ego-surfing

I keep forgetting we have a full-text database of Australian newspapers available at work.

So I put my name in and up pops a review of the first week of last year's Melbourne Short and Sweet.

The salient quote is:

In week one, the quality of the 10 productions varied wildly in script, direction and acting. The most compelling writing is in Relics by Brett Danalake and Iain Triffitt. It is a cleverly wrought story of a Jew who collects Nazi memorabilia, her most recent being a horrific souvenir of her dead husband. The performances are strong and the ending riveting.

(from the December 5 Herald Sun)

Okay, they give away the plot, but it was better than the only other feedback we got (which was that it was "poop" - can't link to the post because it's been removed for reasons too boring to go into.)

I'm glad they recognised the strong performances, the cast were terrific (and Jasper Sharp, the director, was fantastic himself.)
