Have started reading the Hugo-nominated novels

as, you know, I get a vote this year and I at least want some kind of informed opinion.

And I'm reading them on the Kindle although it meant buying them from Amazon. Dirty, filthy Amazon.

First book off the list: Ancillary Justice by Ann Leckie

Opinion so far: I'm enjoying it - clean spare prose that pulls some neat tricks regarding the nature of the narrator/protagonist. Reminiscent of Le Guin for some reason.
