Iain's life as a psychotic crimefighter

Canberra so far

We've had a good time so far, even if most of my time with my mother has been spent fixing up her computers (plural).

So no real change there (except now she has a Windows 7 laptop as well).

murasaki_1966 and I went to visit capnoblivious and his adorable son today. We had capnoblivious 's wonderful cottage pie, and played a few games I bought over: Archaeology, Tulipmania 1637 and Irondale.

Then we visited Lou (best woman at out wedding) and caught up. Again, playing Archaeology until Graham got home (who was surprised to find us playing an analog game.) I accidentally introduced Lou to Plants Vs Zombies on her iPad and she was instantly smitten with it. I'm a bad man ;)

Yesterday we went to Yum Cha at the Dumpling Inn in Jamison, which was very, very good. A little pricey but the food was fabulous. Possibly the best BBQ Pork Buns and egg tarts I've ever had. To build up an appetite we chased a stray rooster around with our cameras.

After Yum Cha, we went to the Old Bus Depot Markets, where murasaki_1966 drained her budget at the various stalls and I somehow wound up in possession of a hat.

Tomorrow is our 8th wedding anniversary, and we're celebrating by spending most of the day in a darkened room - or rather, going to the movies.

We're both starting to accept that we really, truly are on holidays.
